Commercial operations are important to an airport's financial health. Airport
sponsors are constantly seeking to diversify their revenues, reduce reliance
on airline rates and charges, and remain cost competitive. Independent passenger
surveys have shown that airport retail programs are one of the key determinants
of passenger satisfaction with an airport. At the same time, passengers are
becoming more discerning in their choices of food, beverage, and retail offerings
at airports.
For over 30 years, Leigh Fisher Associates has been a leader in helping airport
sponsors achieve their commercial potential. We offer services in connection with
the planning, development, and management of airport commercial operations,
including food, beverage, duty free, and retail merchandise concessions; parking,
rental car, and commercial ground transportation services; and the commercial and
industrial development of airport property.
We prepare lease and concession policies; develop space requirements, concepts,
planning criteria, layout plans, and estimates of sales and revenue potential;
develop proposal and bid specifications; assist in concessionaire search and
selection; analyze required tenant rentals, fees, and charges; and assist in
negotiating business agreements and implementing concession programs. We also
develop concession and other revenue enhancement programs to increase airport
revenues and improve customer service.
