Compendium: Airport Public-Private Partnerships - Setting the Stage for the Next 25 Years
In 2013, LeighFisher sponsored the annual Global Airport Development (GAD) conference in Nice, France. We prepared a compendium of articles around the general theme of “Airport Public-Private Partnerships: Setting the Stage for the Next 25 Years.” On this 20th anniversary of GAD, it is a good time to reflect on lessons learned and what steps airport owners, investors, and operators should be taking to position themselves for success over the next 20 to 25 years and beyond. While there will be unexpected events and surprises — and not always good ones — it is important for industry participants to prepare in a flexible way for continued growth in the aviation sector for years and decades to come. And for some cities and regions, it will be important to see that quality airport infrastructure could be the key differentiator in a globalized economy as cities compete for industries, employers, talent, and investment resources. We hope you will find this interesting and informative.
