Greg Detmer, Managing Director of our facilities planning practice, has more than 30 years of architectural experience with a specialization in airport passenger terminals and other on-airport facilities. His extensive experience includes the development of new terminal facilities, analysis of passenger terminal expansions and concessions, and evaluation of terminal functional areas and capacities, consolidated rental car facilities, and ground access and parking facilities.
At Boston-Logan International Airport, Greg serves as the lead for our On-call Planning Services contract, providing ongoing terminal and landside focused planning advice to Massachusetts Port Authority. At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, he is serving as terminal planner responsible for all terminal and landside area master planning for 10- and 20-year forecast periods representing 79- and 91-gate terminal area plans, respectively. Planning includes airport access, parking, phased terminal redevelopment program, and ramp area reconfiguration. He also is serving as Project Director for the Little Rock National Airport Terminal Plan, and served in that same role for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Terminal A Project Definition.
Prior to joining LeighFisher, Greg headed the Boston architecture office of a major transportation infrastructure firm, leading its practice in the Northeast. His airport experience includes planning and design of terminals, rental car facilities, and parking structures as well as land use and strategic planning.
