On joining LeighFisher in 2000, Peter Anderson led the team providing technical advisory support to funders of the Metronet consortium, successful bidder for the public-private partnership (PPP) contracts to maintain and enhance two-thirds of the London Underground system, until the consortium went into administration in 2007.
He has also provided specialist advice on risk and commercial aspects to the senior finance parties in a variety of other infrastructure, health sector, and defense related PPP projects.
Before joining LeighFisher, Peter worked in senior corporate, finance, administration, and line management positions in Eurotunnel plc, the Guinness Peat Group and Guinness Mahon Capital Corporation, the British National Oil Corporation, Nypro (UK) Limited, and the National Coal Board. In these roles he has gained extensive experience in, and led, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring; major project development; and business risk mitigation.
At Eurotunnel, Peter was responsible for operational planning and budgeting, market analysis, investment project appraisal, and corporate restructuring initiatives as well as for relevant elements of prospectus preparation and verification.
